Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics (JSBE) is currently seeking to recruit staff to the position of

2 Doctoral Researchers to study the interaction between business and nationalism combining perspectives from business history and business studies.

The doctoral students will be part of the Emil Aaltonen team project “International tensions, local nationalism, and global business: A historical perspective (NaBus).” The team project aims to study how business actors, concurrent with other societal actors, use and shape national interests and identities to advance their causes. For such an analysis, the team will study Finnish companies and business associations in the context of the development of global markets, international relations, and the Finnish nation state.
