Baltic Connections: a Conference in Social Science History

The third Riitta Hjerppe Lecture in Social Science History will be given by Anne E.C. McCants (MIT). Further keynotes will be delivered by Per Högselius (KTH Royal Institute of Technology) and Sakari Saaritsa (University of Helsinki). The conference week is packed with events for historians: Gender & Economy Summer School (June 13-14), Gustav Vasa Seminar (June 15-16) and Baltic Connections (June 16-17).

The deadline for proposals is April 1, 2022. In addition to individual papers, we appreciate proposals for three to four paper panels. The participants will be notified of acceptance on April 16 at the latest. Proposals can be submitted online via the conference submission system.

Baltic Connections hosts a session track on History of Technology and Industry, sponsored by the Finnish Society for the History of Technology. In addition, the conference offers fast-tracks to Scandinavian Economic History Review and the Finnish Quarterly for the History of Technology, Tekniikan Waiheita.
