Kuriositeettikabi.net hakee artikkeleita kevään numeroon, jonka deadline on 15.4.2018. Seuraavan numeron teemana on ”Tapahtumat museoissa”.

Museoissa järjestetään runsaasti monenlaisia tapahtumia, jotka ovat tärkeä osa museoiden pedagogista toimintaa. Tapahtumien kirjo on hyvin monipuolinen. Tarjolla on niin seminaareja, työpajoja, opastuksia kuin erilaisia konsertteja ja teemapäiviäkin. Tapahtumien kautta museot voivat ottaa uusia aluevaltauksia ja huomioida erilaisten kävijöiden tarpeet ja sitä kautta saada yhteyden erilaisiin yleisöihin.

Kuriositeettikabi.net on Turun yliopiston museologian ainejärjestön, Museion ry:n, ylläpitämä verkkolehti, joka käsittelee kaikkea museomaailmaan liittyvää. Kuka tahansa on tervetullut kirjoittamaan lehteen! Kirjoittaa voi sekä suomeksi että englanniksi.

Teema on suuntaa-antava, ja aiheita myös teeman ulkopuolelta voi tarjota. Esimerkkejä lehteen sopivista kirjoituksista ovat arvostelut erilaisista museoista ja näyttelyistä, kirjoitukset esimerkiksi työharjoittelun aikana opituista ja koetuista asioista sekä lyhennelmät tieteellisistä artikkeleista tai kannanotot museoalan ajankohtaisiin aiheisiin.

Lehden suunnittelun kannalta toivomme, että artikkelien aiheista kerrotaan toimitukselle etukäteen.

Greetings!

Kuriositeettikabi.net is calling for papers for the spring number. The deadline for the next issue is 15th of April 2018 and the theme is “Events in a museum”.

Museums organize various events to promote their pedagogical functions, such as seminars, workshops, guided tours, concerts and theme days. These events are a way to connect with different audiences and fulfill their needs and interests.

Kuriositeettikabi.net is an online publication regarding museum studies and all museum related topics. It is run by Museion ry, the student association of museology in University of Turku and in Åbo Akademi. Anyone who is interested in museums is welcome to write an article for the issue. You can write it in both English or in Finnish.

Theme for the issue is only a guideline and you’re more than welcome to offer articles outside the theme.  For example articles that fit into the issue are reviews of different museums and exhibitions; stories about what have you learned and experienced during time spent in training in a museum as well as summaries of scientific articles or for example writing a comment and taking a stand in one current hot topic that is being discussed in the field.

I wish that the writers will be in contact with the editor beforehand and inform what they are going to write about as it helps with the planning of the next issue.
