Järjestämme digitaalisten tutkimusmenetelmien workshopin ma 5.2. ja ti 6.2. (TY, Sirkkala) yhdessä Aalto yliopistossa tehtävän ja Koneen säätiön rahoittaman ”From a Roadmap to a Roadshow” projektin kanssa.
Workshopissa johdatellaan digitaalisten tutkimusmenetelmien perusteisiin, perehdytään helposti hyödynnettäviin tutkimusmenetelmiin, ja verkostoidutaan muiden digitaalisesta historiantutkimuksesta kiinnostuneiden kanssa.
Englanninkielisen workshopin tarkempi ohjelma ja ilmoittautuminen lähetetään tammikuun alussa, mutta tapahtuma kannattaa merkitä kalenteriin jo nyt!

Tilaisuus on osa projektin workshopkiertuetta, joka kiertää Oulun, Jyväskylän, Itä-Suomen, Turun, Tampereen ja Helsingin yliopistoissa tammi-helmikuun 2018 vaihteessa ”From Road Map to Roadshow: A collective demonstration & information project to strengthen Finnish digital history” -projektin järjestämänä. Se on Koneen säätiön rahoittama projekti, joka kartoittaa parhaita tapoja edistää digitaalista historiantutkimusta Suomessa, digitaalisten tutkimusmenetelmien mahdollisuuksien ja haasteiden tuntemusta suomalaisten historioitsijoiden parissa, ja luo yhteyksiä heidän välilleen. You are warmly welcome to come and get acquainted with digital research methods, and to discuss how to utilize them in history research!
We are organizing a workshop on digital research methods on 5-6 February (UTU, Sirkkala) together with ”From a Roadmap to a Roadshow” project, carried out at the Aalto University and funded by Kone Foundation.
During the workshop we will give a general overview of digital research methods, get hands on and try some easy-to-start digital research methods and programs, and network with other researchers interested in digital history research methods.

The event is part of a workshop tour that visits the University of Oulu, Jyväskylä, Eastern Finland, Turku, Tampere and Helsinki in January-February 2018, organized by ”From Road Map to Roadshow: A collective demonstration & information project to strengthen Finnish digital history” project. It is a Kone Foundation funded project, which collects best practices of facilitating digital history research in Finland, promotes understanding on the opportunities and challenges of digital research methods among historians, and builds networks among them. The Principal Investigator of the project is Professor of Industrialization Mats Fridlund from Aalto University. Other people working in the project are Jo Guldi (https://www.joguldi.com/), Johan Jarlbrink (http://www.kultmed.umu.se/om-institutionen/personal/johan-jarlbrink), and Mila Oiva and Petri Paju.
