In this online seminar, professor Henrik Grue Bastiansen (University College Volda, Norway) presents his new book Når fortiden blir digital. Kilder, medier og historie i digitaliseringens tid (2023). The book discusses the concept of mass digitisation and shows the relevance of media historical knowledge in our current digital era. It is aimed at students and researchers who do not have much experience in the use of digital sources. After Bastiansen’s presentation, a short comment speech will be held by professor Niels Brügger (Aarhus University, Denmark).
The seminar is open for everyone who is interested in the topic. It will be organised in Zoom at 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm Scandinavian time (3.00 pm to 5.00 pm Finnish time).
