Suomalaisen tieteen suursaavutus

Professori A.I. Virtanen sai 15. marraskuuta kemian Nobel-palkinnon.

Ruotsin tiedeakatemia on antanut vuoden 1945 Nobel-palkinnon kemiassa Helsingin Yliopiston professorille Artturi I. Virtaselle hänen tutkimuksistaan ja keksinnöistään maanviljelys- ja ravintokemian alalla, erikoisesti hänen AIV-rehun keksinnöistään.

Nobel-palkinnon suuruus on tätä nykyä noin 130.000 Ruotsin kruunua.1
