Kahvinjuonti

Kun kahvin tuontikielto kumottiin, kumottiin käytännössä myös kahvin käyttökielto. Tosin matkailijat ja muut satunnaiset kulkijat olivat usein tuoneet kahvia mukanaan pieniä eriä, joten aivan ilman ei ainakaan kaikkien ollut tarvinnut olla.

Kahvista oli tullut kielloista huolimatta suosittu nautintoaine. Kerrotaan, että kiellon aikana Oulun rouvat eivät pysyneet päiväsaikaan hereillä. Korkean hinnan vuoksi kahvia ostivat enimmäkseen vain varakkaat ihmiset, varsinkin kaupunkien porvarit. Turussa oli useita kahviloita ja Porissa yksi.1
