Sopimus

Ruotsin ja Venäjän puolueettomuussopimuksen 16.12.1800, kansilehti. Painettu 1801.

Venäjän keisari Paavali I murhattiin ja hänen tilalleen valtaistuimelle nousi Aleksanteri I. Tämä alkoi lähentyä Englantia, minkä seurauksena edellisenä vuonna solmittu Ruotsin ja Venäjän puolueettomuusliitto hajosi. Maiden suhteet viilenivät.

Ruotsi ja Venäjä tekivät kuitenkin 13. maaliskuuta ystävyys ja kauppasopimuksen, joka takasi kummankin maan laivoille merenkulun vapauden. Sopimus antoi ruotsalaisaluksille erityisaseman Venäjällä. Suomessa tämä sopimus julkaistiin vasta 1850 yhdessä muiden Venäjän ulkovaltojen kanssa tehtyjen sopimusten kanssa.

Joulukuussa 1800 tehty Ruotsin ja Venäjän liittosopimus julkaistiin Suomessa painettuna vuoden 1801 puolella, kun se oli jo menettänyt merkityksensä.
