Nordic Challenges and Identities: Pasts, Presents, Futures
24–26 May 2023, University of Oslo
The 6th Nordic Challenges Conference «Nordic Challenges and Identities: Pasts, Presents, Futures» takes place 24–26 May 2023 in Oslo. The conference is hosted by UiO:Nordic, University of Oslo’s large research initiative focused on the Nordic region. The conference is at the same time UiO:Nordic’s concluding conference addressing a variety of approaches and topics that engage with the Nordic region, its culture, economics, and politics, with a stress on pasts, presents, or futures.
The conference invites paper proposals related to one of ReNEW’s streams or to one of the proposed panels listed in the conference website.

Deadline for paper abstracts is 15 February 2023.
Nordic Challenges Conference is organized annually by the University Hub ReNEW (Reimagining Norden in an Evolving World (ReNEW): An Excellence Hub in Research, Education and Public Outreach), funded by NordForsk. It is an international cross-disciplinary conference gathering scholars from the humanities, social sciences and beyond under a wide umbrella of Norden related study and research. The conference presents new research on the Nordic region and its global relations and promotes debate on current challenges facing the Nordic societies.
